Alma Leona Foot, 99, died November 1, 2020 at the Immanuel Lutheran Home in Kalispell, Montana.
Alma was born in Coleman, Alberta, on August 27, 1921 to Hilaire Albert and Laura Sindon Albert. She was the youngest of four children, joining sisters Yvonne, Eva and Irene.
Alma attended St. Matthew's grade school and high school, graduating in 1939. She was a lifetime member of St. Matthew's parish. She sang in the choir for many years and was a member of Daughters of Isabella.
In 1944 Alma married Charles Foot and they had seven children, Cle, Carol, Larry, Marty, Dorothy, Ellen and Barbara.
Alma worked as a clerk at Woolworths for 23 years, retiring in 1986. She was a charter member of the Flathead chapter of Sweet Adelines and passed on her love of singing harmony to her children and grandchildren. She loved to sew, crochet, play cribbage and pinochle.
In 2013 Alma moved to the Immanuel Lutheran Home where she made new friends and had a kind smile and a hug for everyone she encountered. Alma's children are thankful for the friendship and loving care provided by the staff.
Alma was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, daughter Carol, her parents and siblings, and her husband's siblings, Mary, Alice, Frank and John and daughter-in-law Barb Foot.
She is survived by Cle Foot, Larry (Audrey) Foot, Marty (Vicki) Foot, Dorothy (Jim) Browder, Ellen (Mike) Dawson, and Barbara Foot and her sister-in-law, Elizabeth Merritt. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the Samaritan House in Kalispell. Services will be held next summer in Kalispell and Alma will be laid to rest between Charles and Carol at Conrad Memorial Cemetery.
