Arline Juntunen Airheart age 61, passed away suddenly Thursday, December 5, 2019 at her home in Kalispell.
Arline was born February 6, 1958, in Polson, Montana to Ted Stiles and Martha VanHellen Stiles.
She grew up on the family farm 7 miles west of Polson. Arline graduated from Polson High School in 1976 where she held the high jump record for many years.
After high school, Arline drove a cat logging near Libby, Montana. She narrowly escaped injury when she leapt from that same caterpillar as it rolled down the mountain. Shortly after, Arline discovered her love of driving truck over the road. While driving truck, Arline met William "Bill” Burton. They were married in June 1981. They later divorced, but remained friends until Bill's passing. Arline continued to drive truck hauling chips for Owens and Bray in Missoula. She married Art Juntunen in 1993. Together, Arline and Art ran a dirt hauling and road construction business until Art's death on February 21, 2010.
Seeking a fresh start, Arline headed to North Dakota to haul oil. While there, she met Joe Airheart. Joe put the light back into Arline's life. Joe and Arline were married on the shore of Flathead Lake in Polson, Montana on August 11, 2012.
Arline had a great many lifelong interests including photography, hunting, fishing, cooking, gardening and above all else, staying in touch with family and friends. Arline always made time to talk and lend an ear no matter how busy she was.
Arline was preceded in death by her beloved Mother, (Martha), a stepson, (Jeffrey), and numerous Aunts and Uncles. Arline is survived by her Sweeheart, Joe, Father, Ted (Kathy) of Lonepine, MT, Sisters; Carol (Ronnie) of Polson, MT, Martha Mae (Morris), of Payson, UT, Sarina (Mike), of TX; Brothers Ted (Kristi) of Halfway, OR, Tom (Jerusha) of Fort Mill, SC, Sam (Laura) of Missoula, MT and Tim of Columbus, GA; Step-children Rachael (AJ), Joseph (Tasha), Rhonda (Kyle) as well as numerous beloved grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Arline's greatest love was her family and friends. Arline is dearly loved and will be sorely missed.
Services will be held Wednesday December 11, 2019 at the Lonepine Hall, Lonepine, MT, with the internment to follow at the Lonepine Cemetary. Services will conclude with a luncheon at the Lonepine Hall. All family and friends are welcome.
