Barry Lynn Kefauver, 65, passed away at his residence in Kalispell from cancer on April 17, 2013.
Barry was born July 10, 1947, in York, Pa., to Walter and Olive Kefauver. He grew up in Maryland and attended school there.
He worked as a heavy mobile equipment mechanic.
Barry married Nancy Jean May 20, 1980, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. They had been married for 28 years.
He served 26 years in the U.S. Army and was discharged as a sergeant first class (E7) from the Army National Guard.
Barry enjoyed NASCAR, four-wheeling, drinking beer and telling stories of the past.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Olive Kefauver; wife, Nancy Jean Kefauver; and granddaughter, Aliesha Kefauver.
Barry is survived by his children, son, Kevin Roy, and wife, Beth Kefauver; daughters, Lisa Marie Wells and husband Terry, Lisa Kathleen Pfarr, and Keli Lynn Kefauver-Powell and husband Thomas Jr.; brothers, Randy and wife Pat Kefauver, and Ron and wife Sandy Kefauver; sister, Darlene, and husband, Jim Alleger; sisters-in-law, Lynn and Kerby Allers; grandchildren, Chris and Cody Wells, John Pfarr, Leah Kefauver, Jacob Powell and Dillon Kefauver; and many nieces and nephews.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 1002, Kalispell, MT 59903.
Celebration of life services will be held at 4 p.m. Monday, April 22, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. A reception will follow at Cornerstone Church.
