On Saturday, May 30, 2020, Benona Faye (Sowell) Anderson, loving mother of four children, passed away at the age of 83.
Born June 2,1936 in Cold Water, Mississippi to Orin Sowell (Father) and Annie Pryor Sowell (Mother).  Fayes sisters are Pauline Wheeler, Audrey Cochran and 3 brothers L.B. Sowell, Harold Sowell, Perry Sowell all deceased.
Faye graduated High School in 1954. Faye would visit Memphis often and met Elvis Presley prior to his start to fame  Faye also attended college in Senatobia, Mississippi graduating in 1956. She continued her education in the mid 1970's and graduated from Northern College in Harve, Montana and later earned her LPN license.
Benona married Howard James Anderson on September 22,1956. They have 1 daughter Doreen and 3 sons Howard(Jr), Edward, and  Darryl. Four grandchildren Christopher, Salvatore, Danielle , and  Nicole.  three great-grandchildren.
Faye played sports while attending high school and also played the trombone. She participated in Cub Scouts as a Den Mother also assisted with Boy Scouts. Faye loved the mountains as she would often go camping, hunting and fishing. Faye liked an interesting conversation with a good friend, Faye could have an engaging conversation with anyone and was often called Mom. She loved talking on the phone, church and helping other people.
