Brett Andrew Horstman, 51, of Kalispell passed away on Friday, May 3, 2013, from cancer.
Brett was born Feb. 5, 1962, in Kalispell to Forrest "Frosty" and Shirley (Wisherd) Horstman.
He graduated from Flathead High School in 1980. Brett worked for several seasons at Big Mountain Ski Resort on the ski patrol. He also worked driving truck for his father's trucking business.
Brett loved anything outdoors, often with his faithful companions Gumby and Pokey at his side. His love of exploring led him on many adventures. He traveled to Mexico, Holland and his favorite destination, Hawaii.
Brett was preceded in death by his father in 2007, sister Dawn Wickingstad in 2012, and his fiancee Brookie Morris In 1987.
Brett is survived by his loving mother, Shirley; sisters, Vicki and Kim; brother, Jack; numerous nieces and nephews, great-niece and -nephew, aunts, uncles and numerous friends, all of whom he loved dearly.
Brett was blessed to be lovingly cared for by his mother, sisters and Aunt Linda until his passing.
The family would like to expess their gratitude to the staff at Kalispell Regional Medical Center, Dr. Ward and staff, Dr. Stutzman and staff, and Dr. Carlburg for their care over this past year. And most recently to our angels, Ronda and Carol from Hospice.
At Brett's request there will be no service.
