Carol Anne Johnson, 72, passed away Tuesday, May 31 in Kalispell of natural causes.
She was born Carol Anne Cisz in Kemmerer, Wyoming, on Jan. 4, 1944 to Louis John and Jane Oakley Cisz. Carol attended and graduated from Kemmerer High. After leaving Kemmerer, Carol lived and worked in Dubois, Wyoming, for two years before moving to the Flathead Valley in the summer of 1979 where she worked as a budget analyst for the United States Forest Service in the Bigfork and Kalispell offices until her retirement.
Carol enjoyed playing the fiddle, on her own and with the Montana State Old Time Fiddlers. She also loved being around kids, working in her flower and vegetable gardens and could never pass up good crossword or Sudoku puzzles.
She is survived by her son, Robert Gagliardi, of Laramie, Wyoming; two brothers, Lou and Gary Cisz, of Salt Lake City, Utah; a sister, Jane Strahl, of Knoxville, Maryland; two nephews, Louis John Cisz III of Berkeley, California, and Will Strahl of Beaverton, Oregon, and a niece, Julie Ann Cisz, of Vancouver, British Columbia
She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis and Jane Cisz. Carol’s wishes were to have no memorials or services.
