Charlie Fox passed away peacefully in his home on Nov. 21, 2015.
He was born in Kalispell on Dec. 2, 1941, to Lyman and Lila Fox. He was raised in Bigfork.
He is survived by his wife, Tracy Fox, of Montana; his daughters, Lesli Hotzel of Montana, Tamara Fox of Colorado, and Jenefer Palmer of Colorado, and his stepdaughters, Peggy Osborne of Arizona, Janis Orndorff of Montana, and Erika Delaney of Montana; 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; 10 stepgrandchildren, and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren; and numerous friends and other family members. He also leaves behind Jake and Buster, his beloved dogs.
He was preceded in death by his father Lyman Fox, mother Lila Fox, brother Bill Fox, and granddaughter Kaitlyn Danielson.
Charlie served his country in the U.S. Navy and also as a U.S. Marine. He loved his country and received an honorable discharge in 1969.
He loved the rodeo and was actively involved in roping. He lived in his cowboy boots.
Charlie was dedicated to his family. With six children and 20 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren, he was a very busy “Opa.” His love for his family would give them all the tools that they would need and memories to fill their minds for eternity. He will be missed.
Charlie was cremated on Nov. 24. There will be a memorial at 3 p.m. on Dec. 3 at 434 Parkway Drive in Kalispell.
