Cynthia Louise Long passed away peacefully at home on June 25th, 2024, and began her journey with Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior. She was born in Minneapolis Minnesota on April 5th, 1954, to the late Mary Louise Hagel and Myron George Hagel. She was the first of eight children. Cindy grew up in Brooklyn Center Minnesota graduating from Park Center High School in 1972. Cindy was working at the Master Engineering factory in Minneapolis when she met the love of her life Ernie Eugene Long. They were married for 51 years.

The family moved to Kalispell MT where she began a long career as a Certified Nursing Assistant working at the Montana Veterans Home, The Colonial Manor, Buffalo Hill Terrance and The Brendan House. Cindy was a natural caregiver dedicating her life to helping others.

Cindy was a family orientated mother that had a deep faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, and she lived a good life full of adventure. She loved going on vacations with her family and attending baseball games. She was a lifelong Minnesota Vikings fan and loved purple. She loved to attend sporting events and cheer on her grandkids. She enjoyed trips to Williston ND to see one of her sons and his family. Cindy and her husband Ernie loved to stay in the cabin on the farm. She loved to go to the movies and getting a bite to eat with her sons. Summers were her favorite as she loved fishing and camping, spending many weeks a year up at Middle Thompson Lake. She had multiple flower gardens and loved to grow lots of vegetables. Cooking was a passion as she loved to cook huge feasts for her family, and she decorated for every holiday. She was active in a book club and enjoyed the adventure a new book could bring. She had hundreds of books and enjoyed making a cappuccino and enjoying a good read.

Cindy is survived by her Husband Ernie Long, four sons, Jason (Kristin) of Kalispell MT, Cory Kalispell MT, Aaron (Tara) Epping ND, Ethan (Jennifer) Kalispell MT, 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Cindy is preceded in death by her parents Mary and Myron Hagel and her sister Colleen Wiedewitsch.

Viewing for Cindy will be held Saturday June 29th at 1:00 pm with service to follow at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home.
