David "Dave" Andrew Pudelka, 66, passed away March 23, 2017 at home.

Dave was born in Coaldale, PA to Paul and Irene (Matta) Pudelka.  He graduated from Methacton High School in 1968.  Dave married Heather Mullin in 1974.
A veteran, he served as a specialist five in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.  He participated in the Easter Offensive and was honorably discharged after three years of service to the nation.
Dave worked as a sawyer in the Flathead Valley from 1973 to 1989 when he changed his career path to work for US Customs and Border Protection.  He began his career at the Port of Sweetgrass and retired in 2010 as the Port Director of the Port of Roosville.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman, he enjoyed spending time with his children, grandson, and loved to tell jokes to anyone who would listen.

Dave was preceded in death by his father, Paul;  Parents-in-law Bradley and Amy (Falle) Mullin, sister-in-laws  Norah Mullin Roberts, Carolyn Fleming Mullin  brothers-in-law Clinton Mullin, Timmy Roberts, and Melvin Coffin.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years, Heather. His children, David "Brad" Pudelka and grandson Nathaniel, Anna Pudelka, and Joe (Cassandra) Pudelka. His mother, Irene Pudelka; siblings Jim Pudelka, Diane (Mark) Creasy, and  Paul (Debra) Pudelka. Numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and family friends The Moser and Darche families especially his fishing buddy Simon Darche.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his memory to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation or the American Lung Association

A rosary/vigil for Dave will be held at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home from 6-8 p.m. on March 29th, with the rosary beginning at 6 p.m.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on  March 30th at St. Richard’s Catholic Church in Columbia Falls with internment at St.Richard's Catholic Cemetery
