Donald Abram

The Family of Donald Roy Abram invites you to his Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, February 22, which is also his 85th Birthday!
In the words of his children, "Heaven gained the Greatest Soul, Donald Roy Abram, on January 21, 2025! Dad was first and foremost an awesome loving husband and father, teaching us to be strong and kind, to follow our hearts, stay true to ourselves and trust that God has a plan, even when it does not make sense."

With their dad, his children gained a love for music, learned to be competitive in sports and games, honoring in relationships, and responsible in the Great Outdoors, enjoying God's Creation to the max!

During Don's retirement the last few years, he was blessed to work at our local Ace Hardware store in Whitefish. There, the friends he had gained over four decades of working in the valley were bound to come in and refresh their friendship as they shopped! His prior years at Big Mountain had him quickly promoted from Night Janitor to head of that department. Not long after, he became Director of Personnel at Big Mountain where he immediately began updating all policy and procedure manuals using skills he had obtained while working at Wachovia Bank in Greensboro, North Carolina and other corporations in Minnesota before moving his family to Whitefish, Montana in 1987. The manuals completed, Don quit The Mountain to have more time for family. He started Don's Professional Cleaning, doing new construction cleaning and window washing for all sizes of companies and family homes.

Don’s love was unwavering as husband, dad and grandpa. His kindness, wisdom, wit, and humor also touched the lives of all who were blessed to know him. Don passed away peacefully, surrounded by his loving family and leaving a legacy of cherished memories and gentle compassion.
Don's Celebration of Life will be at 12 o'clock noon at Whitefish Assembly of God Church located off Karrow Avenue in Whitefish at 150 Lamb Lane. Following the service, there will be a time for refreshments where we welcome you to share your memories with us of our beloved husband, dad and grandpa!  Family requests that no donations of flowers be made.
