Donna Lerew

October 27, 1930 — April 15, 2015

Donna J. (Lynch) Lerew, 84, passed away April 15, 2015, at home at Welcov Assisted Living in Kalispell.

She was born Oct. 27, 1930, in Upton, Wyoming, and raised in Wyoming, Trego and Kalispell. She completed the ninth grade.

Donna had worked as a home health aide for Flathead County Home Health.

In 1980, Donna married Herbert Lerew in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. They had been married 34 years until her passing.

Through the years, she was involved with her church, her children’s activities and TOPS. She enjoyed camping, reading and crocheting.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse Lynch and Margaret Hill Lynch; siblings, Warren Lynch, Orrine Rhodes, Dan Lynch, Neal Lynch, Jess Lynch and Maude Bauska; husbands, Elvin Morrow and Donald Cotton; and a son, Timothy Cotton.

She is survived by her husband, Herbert Lerew; children, Diana and Mike Hall of Helena, Mike and Edna Cotton of Kalispell, and Colleen and Chris Young of Vancouver, Washington; stepchildren, Nadine Litschaer of Helena, Judy Gasco of Kalispell, Toni Wombles of Gresham, Oregon, Cheri Lerew of Socorro, New Mexico, Connie and Lawrence Faulkner of Kalispell, and Judy and Larry Brosten of Kalispell; sisters, Rose Hollopeter and Geri Mitton; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Mom was a caring, prayer warrior who thought about others above herself. She was a mischievous, happy-go-lucky Irish lady whose family was very precious to her.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, April 20, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 21, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home with burial following at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
