Edna Faye Goeddertz, 96, passed away on Thursday, March 7, 2013, in St. George, Utah.
Edna was born on Aug. 6, 1916, in Saco, Mont., to Sandy and Lillian Mae Martin. She was raised on a ranch, in both Montana and in Canada. Edna loved her woolys (sheep).
She married Albert "Bus" Goeddertz in July of 1955. They ranched in Kevin, Mont., until retiring and relocating to Bigfork. She was an active member of the Little Brown Church in Bigfork.
Edna was preceded in death by her husband, Bus; brothers and sisters; a daughter, Garnett Foster; and two grandsons, Dale Alcorn and Timothy Goeddertz.
She is survived by her son, James Goeddertz, with whom she had been living with for the past six years in St. George; grandchildren, Barbara Diane Alcorn, Dean Alcorn, Nancy Clarke, Heidi Wolf and Greg Wolf; great-grandchildren, Shelby Alcorn, Jesse Alcorn, Brandy Clarke Woods, Desiree Clarke, David Clarke, Tatiana Wolf-Castro and Logan Emerson-Wolf; and son-in-law, Lloyd Foster.
A viewing will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 20 at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Thursday, March 21 at the Little Brown Church in Bigfork, with the Rev. Bill Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at Lone Pine Cemetery.
