Eilleen Erie

Eilleen R. Erie, age 85, passed away on May 20, 2020, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center due to a stroke.

Eilleen was born on March 15, 1935, in Townsend, Montana, to Frank and Catherine (Meyers) Weiferich. She was raised and attended school in Townsend.

She married John Clouse on June 25, 1955. John passed away in 1983. They were married for 28 years before his passing. Eilleen later married Gene Erie on July 30, 1988, and they celebrated 31 years together.

Eilleen worked for many years as a professional teller in the banking industry.

Eilleen’s community activities included her work for the food bank. She was an avid gardener and love to sew, but her favorite thing to do was just spend time with family.

Eilleen was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John J. Clouse and son James J. Clouse

She is survived by her husband Gene Erie; children Cindy and husband Mark Passmore; Susan and husband Steve Peters; Lisa and Husband Jeff Kruckenberg; Tony and wife Toni Clouse; daughter-in-law Marti Jo Clouse; eleven grandchildren and eighteen great-grandchildren.

There will be a Rosary at 7 p.m. on June 4, at Risen Christ Catholic Parish with a Memorial Mass at 11:00 a.m. on June 5, at Risen Christ Catholic Parish. The family suggest memorials to Wings in Jim Clouse’s name.
