Elizabeth H. Otten, 90, passed away Sept. 26, 2013, at her Kalispell residence.
Elizabeth was born Oct. 19, 1922, at the family farm southeast of Dooley, Mont. Her parents were David and Martha (Lindvall) Nelson. She attended the country school at Rocky Springs, and attended high school in Dooley and Plentywood. She was baptized and confirmed in the Trinity Lutheran Church.
She married Raymond Otten on Nov. 2. They lived near Plentywood until 1948 when they moved to Kalispell. Three children, Rachel, Harvey and Donald, were born in Plentywood. Three more children, Rita, Robert and Arthur, were born in Kalispell.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray, in 2004; a son, Harvey, in 1995; her sister, Lucille Goetzinger; and a brother, Charles Nelson.
She is survived by her children, Rachel and Harry Johnson of Billings, Cheryl Otten of Missoula, and Donald, Rita, Robert and Arthur, of Kalispell; 12 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 4, at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
