Elnora Stoltz

d. December 13, 2016

Elnora F. Stoltz peacefully “entered eternal rest” on Dec. 13, 2016.

She was born in Hebron, North Dakota, on Nov. 1, 1921, to Mary Fleck, who married her stepfather, Mike Frieze, in November 1922.

Elnora married George Stoltz on Sept. 30, 1940, and they had one son, Leo Stoltz. They moved to Miles City in the mid-‘40s, and lived in Billings for several years before moving to Kalispell in 2005.

Elnora worked most of her employment years at American Linen where she retired. She was very dedicated, loved and respected by her coworkers.

Elnora enjoyed cooking and canning, doing puzzles, watching baseball (What a blessing  to see her favorite team, the Chicago Cubs, win the World Series this year), but most of all she enjoyed being around her family.

Elnora was preceded in death by her parents, Mary and Mike Frieze; her husband, George Stoltz; her brother, Carl; and her sisters, Julia, Cecilla, Dolores, Loretta and Donna.

She is survived by her brothers, Al Frieze of Arizona, Dale Frieze of Minnesota, and Joe Frieze of Billings; her sister, Maggie Frieze, of Twodot, Montana; her son, Leo (Marlene) Stoltz, of Kalispell; her grandchildren, Janet (Jeff) Zauner of Kalispell, Melissa (Shane) Churla of Bigfork, and Brad (Heather) Stoltz of Overland Park, Kansas; great-grandchildren, Morgen Zauner, Cameron Stoltz, Coleman Zauner and Isaiah Stoltz; stepgreat-grandchildren, Morgen Churla, Lierin and Churla; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a Mass at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 16, at St. Matthew’s Catholic Church in Kalispell with a luncheon to follow. A future memorial service and burial of ashes in Billings will take place in spring 2017.

The family requests, in lieu of flowers, a donation made to your favorite charity in Elnora’s memory.
