Forrest George Benz, age 86, of Kalispell, MT. passed away on Tuesday August 25, 2015, Forrest was born in Hendricks, Minnesota on March 25, 1929 to Arthur and Emma (Halseide) Benz. Forrest served his country honorably in the US Army during the Korean War. He married Eleanor Clark on June 30, 1957 in St. Ignatius, Montana. For several years Forrest worked as a heavy equipment operator before making a career in small engine mechanics. He enjoyed being a Boy Scout Leader for troop 48 and square dancing. He is survived by his loving wife of 58 years Eleanor Benz, son Edward Benz, daughters Elaine (Dan) Badley, Wanda (Randy) Hinzman, Ramona (David) Binnewies, 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and his sister Hazel Dare of Troy, MT. A visitation will be held on Monday August 31, 2015 from 9 to 9:30 A,M. at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home with a 10:00 A.M Graveside committal at Glacier Memorial Gardens. An 11:00 A.M Celebration of Life Service will be held at Epworth United Methodist Church in Kalispell, MT following the graveside. A luncheon will be held after the service.
