Gary Lee Red Elk, age 76, passed away November 22, 2015 from complications of diabetes. Gary was born November 16, 1940 in Lawton, Oklahoma to Walter and Virginia (Young) Red Elk. He was raised in Walters, Oklahoma, then attended Community College in Southern California. For most of his adult life, Gary worked in Law Enforcement in California, Oklahoma, and Montana. Her served in Special Operations for the U.S. Army in 1963. He married Virginia Taylor on October 23, 2003. Gary enjoyed hunting, gun collecting, and his pets. He was preceded in death by his parents. Gary is survived by his wife Virginia M. Taylor-Red Elk; daughter Shawn Lee Red Elk and son Gary Vincent Red Elk; siblings Keith Red Elk, Kathy Red Elk, and Dewey red Elk, all of Lawton/Walters area of Oklahoma. 3 Grandchildren Samanth a , Karl e e, and Richard Red Elk.
