Gerald “Jerry” Eby, age 84 passed away on November 2, 2016 after a long battle with emphysema. Jerry was born August 17, 1932 in Tolley, North Dakota to Amber and Elsie Eby. He was raised in Cut Bank, Montana. He joined the United States Air Force and served his country honorably in the Philippines during the Korean War. Jerry worked a number of years as a surveyor for the Great Northern Railroad and worked on the Alaskan Pipeline. He worked most of his career as a heavy construction inspector on dams, and bridges throughout the Northwest. Jerry was the construction inspector for the World’s Fair “Expo 74” in Spokane, Washington. After retiring from Metro in King County Washington he returned to his beloved Montana where he could enjoy hunting, fishing, Glacier Park, and the great outdoors. Jerry was an avid reader and will be remembered as a good humored, kind man by all those that knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years Vivian Eby, sons Kraig, Monty, Mike, and Doug; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 am Monday November 7, 2016 at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home Chapel.
