Gerald Randall

April 15, 1933 — June 9, 2020

Kalispell

Gerald Charles Randall of Kalispell passed away on June 9, 2020, from the consequences of Alzheimer’s dementia.

Gerald “Gee” was born on April 15, 1933, to Donivee Ray Randall and Ruby Bernice Phillips in Whitefish. Gerald grew up in Stumptown, aka Whitefish, and graduated from Whitefish High School in 1952. He played football and the coronet in band during high school. He worked alongside his father, Donivee Ray, at the family’s Texaco station, Randall’s Motors, which was at the corner of Second and Baker Avenue in Whitefish. Gerald married his high school sweetheart, Janet Norene Willard and entered the Air Force in March of 1953. He spent most of his military career in Texas, Florida and Morocco as an aircraft mechanic. After leaving the Air Force in 1957, Gerald and Janet moved to Salt Lake City where Gerald attended the Radio Institute to earn his diploma as an electronic technician. Gerald and Janet moved back to the Flathead Valley in 1959. Gerald worked at Bitney’s Furniture repairing TVs and other electronics. Gerald and Janet established Randall’s TV in 1973 and operated it in Evergreen until they retired.

After Janet’s death in 2006, Gerald’s life was rejuvenated when he reconnected with a longtime friend from Florida, Dee Van Allen Mullins. Gerald and Dee enjoyed 13 wonderful years together. They alternated their time between Kalispell and Clearwater, Florida. They enjoyed adventures to the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, Cuba and Alaska.

Gerald had the desire to fix everything! He was always tinkering with something. Gerald enjoyed riding motorcycles, working on everyone’s cars, playing guitar and being with family. Gerald took pride in his two-acre yard and forest. Gerald’s unconditional support of his parents, siblings, children and grandchildren has left a legacy that his family strives to match today.

Gerald is survived by his brother, Dale Randall, of Columbia Falls; his sisters, Frances (Dave) Roth of Kingston, Idaho, and Colleen (Richard) Edgerton of Billings; and sister-in-law, Lynette Randall, of Billings; his partner (in crime) Dee Mullins of Clearwater; his children, Willard Randall (Dominica) of Kalispell, Gerri Lyons (Todd) of Simms, and Tabitha Regoli (Chris) of Kalispell; his grandchildren, Joel Randall of Kalispell, James (Nicole) Randall of Kalispell, Thomas (Kelsey) Randall of Kalispell,; Jocelyne (Mike) Colpitts of Salem, Massachusetts, Jennifer (Kody) Lambert of Great Falls, Crystal Lyons of Great Falls, David (Amanda) Lyons of Fairfield, Brandon Lyons of Simms, Alexis (Dalton) Swanson of Libby, Carson Regoli of Idaho Falls, Idaho, and Garrett Regoli of Kalispell; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Gerald was preceded in death by his parents Ruby and Ray Randall, his loving wife Janet, and his eldest brother Howard Randall.
