In the early morning hours of September 24, 2017 our hearts were broken when we lost the most amazing, beautiful, smart, sassy woman, our beloved mother Gloria Anne (Wilkins) Vollin Bolin passed away at the age of 81. Gloria was born August 18, 1936 to Norman and Ada Wilkins of Swindon, England. Gloria was raised in Swindon where she graduated high school and later met Phillip Vollin Jr. They married on May 7, 1955 and had seven children together; Debra Lee, Dennis Lewis, Donna Lynn, Danny Lewis, Dwayne Lewis, Diane Lee, and Darleen Lee. Sadly, Phillip passed away in a car accident May 21, 1969. After Phillip’s passing Gloria found with seven children she needed to find a career. Her Mom, Ada, came from England to help her with all the love and support a daughter could ask for Ada lived with her for many years to come. With the help of her amazing neighbor, Lorraine Wilson, they went to school attending a nursing program becoming LPN’s. Lorraine would pick Gloria up every day for two years as she had no driver’s license. She would later get her license with her oldest daughter Debbie. Gloria loved and appreciated everything her good friend Lorraine did for her. Gloria first went to work at the Flathead County Nursing Home until her retirement. The love of her job and love for helping and caring for people brought her out of retirement when she went to work for the Heritage Place until her final retirement. Gloria had a wonderful 40 year career. Gloria’s hobbies and interests were her 7 children, 28 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild. Gloria leaves an amazing legacy of love and strength behind to continue on in her large family. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents Ada and Norman Wilkins, her first husband Phillip Vollin Jr., son Dwayne Vollin, sister Margaret Todaro, grandson Richard Veidt Larson and son in law Randy Shero. She is survived by her children Debra (Steve) Fauerso, Dennis (Elaine) Vollin, Donna (Jerry) Wisher, Danny (Mary) Vollin, Diane (Walt) Vollin, and Darleen Shero. She is also survived by her brothers Pete and David Wilkins of England, 28 grandchildren, 61 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild as well numerous nieces and nephews in the States and in England. Cremation has taken place. Burial will take place in the spring when she will be buried with her beloved son Dwayne and her best friend Amy her poodle. As we see our loved ones ship sailing into the horizon we are saying “Oh there she goes.” But on the other side of the horizon there are those who are saying “Ohhhh ! HERE SHE COMES”. Friends are encouraged to visit Gloria’s memorial and sign her online guest book at www.buffalohillfh.com. Buffalo Hill Funeral Home is caring for the family.
