Harold Paul (Jay) McFarland, age 69, passed away on Tuesday November 16, 2010 at his home in Kalispell, Mt. Jay was born on February 13, 1941 in Miami, Florida to Harold and Jacqueline (Stewart) McFarland. He moved to Nampa, Idaho at a very young age, where he was raised and attented schools. Jay enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1961, while in the military, he received his GED. He was Honorably Discharged in 1965. He married Arlene Jensen in Kalispell, Montana in 1969. Jay worked for the PFE Railroad in Nampa, Idaho from 1972 til 1977, transferred to the Burlington Northern in Spokane, WA., from 1977 til 1982, moved to Tigard, OR., where he worked for PAC Tank and Therm Tech as a welder. He worked for Pierce RV in Kalispell from 2007 until the time of his death. Jay enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing with his grandchildren and working on old cars with his sons. He was preceded in death by his father Harold McFarland Sr., mother Jackie Pooler, and his father -in-law Edward Jensen, Jay is survived by his wife of 41 years, Arlene of Kalispell, sons, Jason McFarland, Jarod McFarlandall of Kalispell and Jayme Gafford, of Texas , a sister Dorothy Blair of Hemet, CA., sister and brother-in-law Rocky and Twyla Stoddard of Kennewick, WA., Christine and John Hale, of Utah, mother-in-law Beth Jensen of Kalispell, grandchildren, Jayla, Sasah and Ashley, Jayden, Dylan, Justice, Dalton, Kyle, Jordan and Nicholas.
