Harriet Gladys (Heabel) Sklany, 75, passed away March 31, 2013, in Kalispell.
She was born April 13, 1937, in Hinsdale, Ill., and raised in Justice, Ill.
On June 23, 1956, she married Steve Sklany Jr. in Argo, Ill. They had been married for 50 years.
A homemaker, Harriet was also an active member of the Birch Grove Willing Workers for many years. She loved her birds, creek fishing, camping and hiking to the chalets in Glacier Park.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Steve Sklany; three brothers and two sisters.
Harriet is survived by her children, Claudia and Brad Stanton of Kalispell, Steve Sklany III and Laura of Kalispell, Christopher and Jenny Sklany of Kalispell, and Eric and Mary Sklany of Kalispell; grandchildren, Jessica Gemmel of Eureka, Calif., and Francis Junkin and family, Caleb Stanton and family, Josh Sklany and family, and Kati Jo Sklany, all of Kalispell; and great-granddaughter, Samantha Nadine Junkin.
Cremation has taken place. Per Harriet's request, no services are scheduled
