Harvey Naslund passed away Feb. 26, 2013.
He was born Nov. 22, 1914. He was raised in the Chinook area and graduated from high school there in 1928. Harvey began a family there on a small 40-acre farm, eventually expanding into hundreds of acres.
At the end of the years in Chinook, he went into cattle ranching. He sold out in 1974 and moved to Flathead Lake, where he went into land development.
Harvey finally fully retired in 1989 and spent the winters at his Yuma, Ariz., home, and the summer months at his home on Flathead Lake.
Harvey was always active in community doings, having belonged to numerous organizations.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Lester, in 1952; his loving wife, Thelma; and his eldest son, Harvey Jr.
He leaves behind five sons, James in Missouri, Robert in California, Larry in Colorado, Dr. Alan Naslund in Kentucky and Curtis in Washington; plus many grand- and great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. March 9 at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home in Kalispell.
