She was born on February 2, 1925, the third of five children to Edwin and Karen Larson at their homestead outside Brocken, Montana. She graduated from Brocken High School in 1942. From there Inga went to Montana State University where she completed a nursing degree in 1946. She met James Wallette and they were married on June 18, 1949 in Whitefish, Montana. They shared a beautiful life for almost 60 years. Inga was a loving and caring mother who raised five children that required all of her nursing skills and patience. An important aspect of her family life was her commitment to the Lord, which was her theme in raising her children. Inga attended what is now Canvas Church for 60 years, where she sang in a trio and choir for many years. Inga’s nursing career included Kalispell Hospital, North Valley Hospital, Immanuel Lutheran, and Flathead County Nursing Home. Later in life she enjoyed traveling with James, spending time with family and siblings, and wintering in Arizona. Also important to her was caring for others and supporting Latin America Child Care. Inga is survived by children Karla and husband Dan Colyar, Spokane, WA; Rodney Wallette, Kalispell; daughter-in-law Debra Wallette, Kalispell; and Roland and wife Gina Wallette, Kennewick, WA. Grandchildren include Charles Russell; James and Jeff Colyar; Gary, Adam, and Tonya Wallette; Ross, Risa, and Rylan Wallette; and 13 great-grandchildren. Inga was proceeded in death by her husband James, daughter Kristi, and son Randy, and granddaughter Keri Ann.
A private graveside will be held at C.E. Conrad Cemetery and a celebration of Inga’s life will be held Friday, May 1, 2015 at the Buffalo Hill Terrace at 1:00 P. M. for her family and friends.
