James (Jim) Richard Pearse, 72, passed away on Thursday, November 12, 2015 surrounded by family.
He was born in Denver, Colorado to Richard and Ann (Gurlich) Pearse on August 14, 1943. He was raised in Parma, Ohio where he graduated from high school in 1962.
He joined the Air Force after graduation until 1965. He was stationed at Lakeside Radar Base in Lakeside, Montana.
He married the love of his life, Gloria Roberts, November 16, 1965 in Kalispell.
He worked as a self-employed logger, roofer, and in receiving at Herberger’s. He was a good sport and fun to be around. He had a great sense of humor. He loved and enjoyed all of his family. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan and always rooted for the Grizzlies.
He enjoyed bowling, horseshoes, hunting, fishing, camping, boating, gold panning, helping Gloria with gardening, and spending time with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Gloria; daughter Kathy Connelly and husband Pat of Kalispell; daughter Barbara-Anne Vannett and husband Calvin of Buford, North Dakota; brother Tom Pearse and wife Johanna; sister Germaine Adkins and husband Jim; brother Tim Pearse and wife Margaret; brother Teddy Pearse and wife Lauren; grandson Tyler Hickey and wife Jessica; granddaughter Maurissa Mikkelsonand husband Tyrel; grandsons Johnathan and Aaron Vannett; great grandsons Hunter, Treker and Wyatt Hickey; great grandson Braylon Mikkelson; great grandchildren Addi, Austyn and Teagynn Vannett; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
A celebration of life potluck will be at Smith Valley School gym at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 21, 2015.
