Eulissa SarahJane (Garner) Hensley, known as Jane Hensley to all who knew her, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sept. 24, 2020, at the age of 85, passing peacefully in her sleep.
Jane was born on Jan. 15, 1935, in Santa Monica, California, to Ruth Donnabell and Uander Samuel Garner. She grew up in California, being primarily raised by her grandmother, Francis Hambright Kennedy. Jane was an only child, but she always considered the Church body to be her extended family.
She was happily married for 46 years to her husband, Joe William Hensley. The two got married on Oct. 17, 1970, and were married until Jan. 15, 2016, when Joe went to be with the Lord. They had three children and many grandchildren.
Jane was a homemaker by profession who loved to garden and can what she grew. She enjoyed working with her hands, oil painting, photography, cake decorating, camping, huckleberry picking, and devoting her life to others. She had a passion and love for Jesus and wanted her life to be used by the Lord.
Jane is survived by her children, Michael James, Elizabeth Christine, and Joseph Benjamin Hensley and his wife Holly Marie, and a matriarch to many related or unrelated. She was a grandmother to all.
She was preceded in death by her husband Joe, her parents and grandmother.
There will be a graveside service at 11 a.m. Oct. 2 at the C.E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery in Kalispell.
