She spent many years as a Cub Scout den mother, Girl Scout den mother and PTA member as her children grew up.  She was an accomplished artist and pursued her love of painting whenever and wherever time permitted.  After her children were mostly grown to adulthood she returned to college to hone her skills with new media and subsequently became a leading graphic artist for American TV in Madison, WI for whom she worked until her retirement in 2008 at the age of 82.  Upon retirement she moved to Whitefish, MT to be near family where she settled into The Springs assisted living facility. She lived at The Springs proudly and independently until her passing.
