Jeanne A. Thomas, 91

Jeanne A. Thomas passed away on December 6, 2023.  Jeanne was born on April 15, 1932, in Long Beach, California to Earl and Elizabeth Hanks.  Jeanne’s mother later married a naval officer, Archie Morrison.   As a child raised in a career military family, Jeanne travelled all over the world.  She lived in the Philippines and graduated high school at the American School in Tokyo in 1950.

Jeanne returned to Long Beach and married the love of her life Bill Thomas.  In Long Beach she started a family, raised two daughters, and attended college for early childhood education.

After Bill passed away in 1977, Jeanne moved to Ashland, Oregon to be closer to her parents and sister Sandra.  She had a happy and busy life going out with friends and working for the Ashland Chamber of Commerce.

Jeanne moved to Kalispell in 2013, and for the past four years lived at Immanuel Lutheran Communities, where she enjoyed friendships with her fellow residents and staff.  

She is survived by her daughters Cynthia (Fred) and Karen; sister Sandra (Jack) and brother Steve (Tami); grandson Peter (Shelly); grandchildren Adelaide and Finley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private service for the family will be held in Kalispell.
