Jerome Malmin passed peacefully to his Lord on Jan. 11, 2023. Jerome was born Aug. 1, 1935 in Langdon, North Dakota, to parents Palmer and Clara Malmin. Shortly after giving birth his mother and twin sister died. Jerome’s father was unable to care for his newborn son. Jerome was raised by his maternal aunt Lucy and uncle Eling Skjeveland. Jerome’s father raised his brother Sonny and sisters Bea and Lois. Jerome was raised on a farm in Edmore, North Dakota. Upon the passing of his uncle Eling, Jerome took over management of the farm. Jerome and his lifelong friend Grant Settingsgard farmed their neighboring farms together as well as leased or rented farm land.
After selling the farm he retired to Kalispell. He drove vehicles for Kari Dodge and Enterprise. Later Jerome drove the BN transport van. He retrieved and delivered the crews all along the B.N. Route. This was one of his favorite jobs, enjoying his association with Dale Duff and BN crew members that became good friends.
Jerome desired to be cremated and did not want a memorial or funeral service. He had a good life and a great heart.
He is survived by several nieces and nephews and many good friends. Buffalo Hill is caring for the family.
