Jerry Paro

Jerry D. Paro, 68, passed away on May 20, 2013, in Kalispell.

He was born April 10, 1945, in Luke Field, Ariz., He moved to San Bernardino, Calif., then to Dayton. He graduated from Polson High School and attended the University of Montana-Missoula.

Jerry served in Vietnam and was honorably discharged from the Army.

He worked for the National Park Service in Glacier, North Cascades, Yellowstone, Big Bend (Texas) and Olympic National Parks, ending up again in Glacier. His duty stations included trails, law enforcement, computer operations, maintenance and campgrounds.

Jerry was a man of many interests and talents, including leather tooling, stained glass, building anything, sewing and gardening/canning. He was an extraordinary cook.

Jerry loved what life had to offer and made the most of the time he had with us.

He will be sorely missed by the many whose lives he touched.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde and Pat Paro; and his sister, Judith Paro.

He leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Nora Paro; his brother, John, and wife, Cleora; and stepbrother, Clyde and wife, Karen; plus relatives in the Flathead Valley, Michigan, California and Alaska.

Jerry requested that there be no services. In fact, he was adamant. So think of him with your next beer or St. Brendan's or keno bet.
