Juanita Bryson-White- Haven

April 17, 1915 — November 7, 2015

Juanita “Nita” Bryson-White-Haven, age 100 ½, passed away November 7, 2015 in Kalispell, Montana.  Nita was born April 17, 1915 to Joe and Mamie Lewis in Unionville, MO.  She was 6 months old when the family moved to Eastern Montana.  They lived in a sod house until 1924, then they moved to Andes, Montana.  Nita was baptized in the church of Christ during her teens and tried to live faithful the rest of her life.  She worked at a lot of different jobs.  She went to Seattle, WA in 1943 and worked in a Zoom factory.  The women had a job piling lumber and making more money than she was, so she quit her job and went to piling lumber.  During the war in 1944, she went to Portland, OR and worked in the shipyards for a shipfitter as a tacker.  On August 6, 1955 she married Donald Bryson, who was a rancher.  He had 3 children, Gladys 13 years, Dolores 11 years, and Gene, 10 years old.  Donald died October 8, 1975.  Then on October 27, 1979, she married Jim White and moved to Lewiston, ID.  Jim died January 30, 1985.  Nita made a trip to Israel after that, which was one of her highlights.  She married Chet Haven on September 18, 1999 from Portland, OR.  Chet was a fiddler so they played a lot of music, and travelled a lot.  Chet died August 9, 2 006.  Montana was always home, so after Chet’s  death she returned back to Kalispell.  Nita was proceeded in death by her parents, 3 husbands, 3 brothers, 4 sisters, and 1 grand daughter.  Nita is survived by her daughters Gladys (Ron) Gleason; Dee (Bob) Wray, and a son Gene (Kathy) Bryson, 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and 7 great great grandchildren.  Visitation of Nita will be held on Tuesday November 10, 2015 from 4 till 7 P.M. at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 11, 2015 at the Stillwater Church of Christ with burial following at Glacier Memorial Gardens.  Friends are encouraged to visit our website at www.buffalohillfh.com to leave notes of condolences for the family.  Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory caring for the family
