Kacey Camille Scott was born in Fresno, California, on Oct. 28, 1976, and died at Oro Valley Hospital, Arizona, on Dec. 9, 2016, of organ failure.
She was raised in Kalispell and worked in health care at the HealthCenter, a part of Kalispell Regional Medical Center, for many years as a certified professional coder.
She is survived by Aaron Gibson, her soulmate for 20 years; parents, Ron and Camille Scott; grandmother, Billie Gossett; aunt and uncle, Sharon and Rob Holden, of Missoula; and other cousins and relatives.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Herb and Florence Russell; uncle, Butch Gossett; and grandfather, Buck Gossett.
Kacey loved life, people and animals. During a summer vacation she volunteered her time at the Best Friends Animal Society Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah. Kacey loved to camp, boat, travel and be by the ocean with Aaron and her friends. Her passion focused on the ladies’ bowling league in Whitefish. Her main goal in life was to be with people and make them feel special and important.
A celebration/reflection on her life will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 23, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. In May, her ashes will be placed with her grandparents’ on the family property.
