Kaitlyn Elizabeth Flink, 16, of Bigfork, was “given her angel wings and welcomed into heaven” on Sept. 14, 2016. Kaitlyn passed due to an unfortunate accident.

She was born March 31, 2000, in Whitefish, to Ron and Samantha Flink. After spending the first year of her life in Whitefish, she traveled the world with her parents until the age of seven and lived in Dresden, Germany, where she made many amazing friends and gained a deep understanding about people who come from many different cultures and backgrounds. Kaitlyn and her family moved to Bigfork when she was starting second grade and continued her education in the Bigfork school system.

In Kaitlyn’s passing, her family wants to remind others that her life is one to be celebrated. We will all miss her sweet, sincere smile every day, but she remains forever in our hearts. Kaitlyn had an amazing heart and compassion for others, a deep love for animals, music, cheerleading, family and friends.

Kaitlyn is survived by her parents, Ron and Samantha Flink, younger brother, Zachary, and younger sister, Amelia, of Bigfork; paternal grandparents, Rick and Pat Flink of Kalispell; maternal grandparents, Larry “Butch” Benson of Kalispell, and Darlene Benson of Whitefish; uncle, Richard (Michonne) Flink and their daughters, Jecelynn and Shaybrea, of Spokane, Washington; uncle Jason (Melissa) Ohs and their daughter, Kiley, of Whitefish; boyfriend, Logan Kaminsky of Bigfork; closest friends, Melissa Paulsen and Breanna Hathaway of Bigfork, and Becky Powell of Glendora, California; and many other friends and relatives.
