Karen Tabor

February 1, 1944 — June 15, 2017

Longtime Montana resident, Karen Tabor, passed away peacefully, June 15, 2017 at her home, in Kalispell.

Karen was born to Virginia Anderson and Newell Armer on Feb. 1, 1944, in Phoenix.

Even as a young girl, she was destined for great things. Always eager to help others, she aspired to be the best licensed practical nurse she could be. In her free time, she loved to travel, experience new things, and lived every minute to its fullest. She’s scuba dived, rode horses, shot guns, and even gained her pilot’s license.

After moving to Kalispell, where she had resided for almost 30 years, she continued her career as an LPN. During that time, she met, fell in love, and married her best friend, Bruce Tabor. For 18 years, they shared their lives together, and spent every moment cherishing that once in a lifetime love they had created. Surrounding their home with beautiful landscaping and astounding gardens, they enjoyed each other’s company, while sipping coffee and filling their imaginations in the worlds that authors created.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, Virginia and Newell; two sisters, Peggy and Dorothy; her late husband, Joe; and her grandson, Kody.

She is survived by two sisters, Christine, and Judy; five daughters, Rhonda, Cheri, Laura, Shawnaly and Kimberly; six sons, Rodney, Kenneth, Butch, Mark, Matt and Ray; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and even more adopted family.

At her request, no viewing will be held and a memorial will be held at a future time.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to either Buffalo Hill Funeral Home of Kalispell; or to her husband Bruce Tabor, at P.O. Box 8634, Kalispell, Montana 59904
