Keith V. Mitton, 58, passed away at his home in Evergreen on March 21, 2014, from heart and respiratory failure.
Keith was born in Whitefish on Nov. 26, 1955, to Vaughn and Hildegard Mitton, and was raised in Columbia Falls.
He worked at Anaconda Aluminum for several years and thereafter at several jobs, including traveling to various cities working in telemarketing for volunteer organizations that put on benefit concerts, until ill health finally caused him to stop working.
Fondly known as "Cooter" by his friends, Keith's ultimate love was his Harley and the sense of freedom it gave him when he rode it. He had a quick wit and loved making others laugh.
Keith was preceded in death by his father and mother, Vaughn and Hildegard.
He is survived by his brother, Terry Mitton, and his wife, Susan, of Kalispell; two half sisters, Jean England of Columbia Falls, and Betty and Harold Cook of Yakima, Wash.; and numerous nieces and nephews, including local nephews, Scott Mitton and his wife Annie, Randy Rohrbach, and Kelly Rohrbach and his wife Susie; and one aunt, Ruth Boatwright, of Gilbert, Ariz.
To follow Keith's wishes, there will be no formal service.
