Kim Hammond Forza, 70, passed away on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2011, at his home in Kalispell.
Kim was born Dec. 10, 1940, in Portland to Charles and Dorothy Hammond Forza.
He was raised in Portland, where he attended Highland Grade School. He got his G.E.D. at Clackamas Community College in Portland.
He Joined the U.S. Army, where he served as a cook. He worked and retired from N.W. Wholesale Stationers Inc.
His wishes were to be baptized Catholic, and it happened on July 17, 2011.
He loved hunting, putting models together, going to car shows, reading Harry Potter, movies, riding the train, dining out, train museums, and drinking coffee, and he loved playing games and eating apple pie.
Kim was preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy and Charles Forza.
He is survived by his partner, Elaine Nelson; children, James and wife, Charlotte Forza, of Vancouver, Wash., and Sherrie and husband, Ted Winton, of Oregon City, Ore.; close family friend, Roger Woolfolk; sister, Charlotte and husband, Scott Streicher, of Portland; grandchildren, T.J. and Kristina Winton; nieces, Kristen and husband, Jeff Cox, of Damascus, Ore., Jennifer Sutterfield of Bend, Ore., and Amanda Streicher of Vancouver; and great-nieces, McKenzie and Breanna Cox of Damascus, Ore.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
