Larry Saksa

September 17, 1942 — February 18, 2021

Kalispell

Larry Wayne Saksa age 78, passed away on February 18, 2021 from a result of a Motor Vehicle Accident in Kalispell, Montana. Larry was born on September 17, 1942 to John and Neoma Mildred (Scherlie) Saksa Jr. in Hanford, CA.

Larry accomplished much in his life. He spent several years in the United States Army Reserve and he also worked as a Choir Teacher for Flathead Middle School where he shared his life passion for helping and teaching kids. After retirement Larry would listen for hours to taped choir classes of music he had taught. Larry truly missed teaching kid’s music.

Larry was very dedicated inside and outside of the classroom when it came to children. Larry was very active in raising money for Shriners Hospital to sponsor children’s needs. He also gave his time to both the Elks Lodge and Masons. For over 40 years he helped the Elks Lodge. One of Larry’s greatest memories was when he would get the bikes ready to give away to the children. He loved to see the smiles on the children’s faces when they got to choose a bike, but the highlight of it all for Larry was the Hoop Shoot with the kids.

Larry loved to go fishing, camping and would also give anyone of his friends a helping hand at any time.

Anyone who knew Larry knew he was a private man in a lot of ways, but if you were a friend it was for life. He was stubborn at times, set in his ways and never backed down from his true beliefs, this being a reason why we loved him.

Larry is proceeded in death by both his parents; John and Neoma Mildred (Scherlie) Saksa Jr.

Larry is survived by many cousins and to many friends that loved him to mention by name.

Larry our beloved friend, you are now singing with the Angels Choir. You are so dearly loved and will be forever missed. “Sing on and enjoy the music…”
