Leonard Holcomb

February 24, 1924 — April 2, 2013

Leonard M. "Bud" Holcomb, 89, passed away on April 2, 2013, at the VA Hospital in Columbia Falls.

Bud was born Feb. 24, 1924, in Colburn, Wis., and raised on the North Fork above Polebridge.

Bud served in the Army Air Force during World War II as an airplane armorer - gunner 612, flying out of England.

Bud owned and operated his own paint contracting business for almost 60 years in the Flathead Valley.

Bud loved to hunt, fish and go rock hounding.

Bud married Cleo B. Hailey in January of 1946 in Kansas City, Kan. They just celebrated their 67th anniversary.

Bud is survived by his wife, Cleo; son, Lyman M. Holcomb and wife, Elsie; daughter, Linda Zizz and husband, William; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 13, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Kalispell.
