Lillian Corbielle

d. October 30, 2013

In the morning of Oct. 30, 2013, "our family, friends and the world lost one of the truly beautiful souls to ever walk this land. We who knew her and love her mourn the loss but rejoice in the glorious triumphant return to her Lord Jesus and to her loving husband of 48 years, Jim Grobe."

In her many, many years on this earth, she touched most everyone she came in contact with - siblings, childhood friends, employers, employees, the grocer, the waitress, the minister and, most of all, her loving and devoted family.

Lee is survived by her spouse, Gene Corbielle; children Sean and Lee Morgan, Denise Scroggs and John Wright, Gary and Beverly Morgan, Steve Grobe, and Jody and George Yeats. She also cherished her many blessed grandchildren, Shannon Scroggs, Carrie and Lenn Moldenhauer, Stacey and Ron Snyder, Shane and Wendy Morgan, Owen Morgan, Lindsey and Marcus Johnston, Rachel Morgan and Jamie Yeats. Then the topping on Lee's family cake were her great-grandchildren, Ashley and David Murchinson, Joey Snyder, Alex Snyder, Maxie Scroggs, Abby Morgan, Caleb Morgan, Conner Johnston, Max Johnston, Jack Moldenhauer, William Moldenhauer and Lillian Moldenhauer; her nieces, Susan Oakley and Linda Kelly; and nephews, Jim and John Oakley, all who cherished her so much.

One would be hard pressed to find anyone who knew Lee who didn't hold her in the highest regard and have a deep love for her.

Lee was a real Renaissance woman before it became chic. She was a single, working mother, a devoted loving wife, a priceless friend. Through the years she had been a successful entertainer, a highly regarded businesswoman, an entrepreneur, a small-business owner, pastry chef, seamstress and makeshift nurse. She could do, and did, it all while never wavering in her avid devotion to God. There are few women today who could stand up to the trials and the unfair treatment in the world 60 years ago unscathed, but this amazing woman did. She conquered it all, and through it all never let her family suffer, always putting her family first. Lee had her priorities straight - she just got it right.

Anyone who was blessed enough to cross paths with her will attest to the fact that she always had a genuine, beaming smile that could light up the room. She always had a positive thought and the best advice. Lee just always made the time for everyone, to rock a crying baby, make a special costume, cook a favorite meal, just visit with you if you needed it. She just never said no to anyone.

Born in 1921 in Ottawa, Kan., she had seen our world grow and change, living and loving life in Kansas, California, Colorado and in the end, Montana. She had the ability to make home wherever she was.

A service in honor of Lee, our grand matriarch, will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 9, at Kalispell's Christian Center, preceded Friday by a viewing from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home.

"There are no words to express the love Lee has inspired in all of us. Her light leaving us is felt all over this land and we miss her greatly. Lee will never leave our hearts; her impression is engraved in our lives. We love her completely and are greatly comforted by her new life in the glory of our Lord."
