Linda P. (Alex) Flynn, 68, passed away Thursday, Jan. 1, 2015, in Kalispell.
Linda was born Nov. 26, 1946, in Cut Bank to Harry and Ruth Alex. As an infant, Linda was adopted by Fred and Irene Eckley and grew up in the Cut Bank area. She went to Cut Bank High School.
In 1963, she married Don Kruse and from that union daughter Amy and son Aaron were born. They were divorced in 1968. Linda then married Robert G. "Bob" Flynn in Chinook in 1969. Robert brought children John, Rick, George and Roberta with him to make a family of six.
Linda worked in the propane business as a bookkeeper for many years. She also worked as a bookkeeper for Sod Buster in Polson, and Northern Ford and Utterback Accounting in Cut Bank. She also worked road construction as a flagger. Linda was very business orientated and organized in all she set out to do. Sometimes called an entrepreneur, she sold Watkins Products, wicker baskets and Sara Coventry jewelry. She was a very kind and caring woman.
Later on, after Bob retired, they enjoyed going South to Yuma, Arizona, to spend the winters. In Yuma Linda she spent time visiting and working the local flea markets. Her intrests were varied and included re-arranging her home, crocheting, snowmobiling, crafting, camping, boating, skiing, family and friends, and she loved to gamble! Her wittiness and sense of humor were always appreciated by everyone she encountered. Linda was a member of the Cut Bank Moose Lodge.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents, adoptive parents, husband Bob Flynn, and siblings Bonnie Freed, Clara Henderson and Gene Alex.
Linda is survived by her daughter, Amy, and Wilbert Fish of Cut Bank; sons, Aaron and Dena Kruse of Kalispell, John and Pam Flynn of Utah, Rick and Lisa Flynn of Utah, and George and Rachel Flynn of Polson; and daughter, Roberta, and Bruce Walter, of Culbertson; siblings, Shirley Dobson of Payson, Arizona; Darlene and Doug Kohlbeck, Nancy and Art Waldenberg, Jeri and Bill Crowe, Dick and Annie Alex, and Debbie Kerouac, all of Kalispell; R.J. and Carol Alex of Colorado, Pat Hall of Great Falls, and Alice and Dick Humble of Cut Bank; numerous nieces and nephews, and special friends Joann Lindberg, Dorothy and Al Kuhl; Mary Bruhn, Rose Marie Flynn and Wilma Schrier; 20 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
A celebration of Linda's life will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 10, at the Prairie Peace Lutheran Church in Cut Bank. A reception will follow at the Cut Bank Moose Lodge.
