Lois Lingle

May 31, 1945 — August 16, 2014

Lois Jane (Frankfurth) Lingle, 69, passed away Aug. 16, 2014, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

Lois was born in 1945, in Dupree, South Dakota, to Albert and Mayme (Poppen) Frankfurth.

She grew up in Dupree through her high school years then moved to Rapid City, South Dakota, where she graduated from high school. She then co-managed a discount department store in Rapid City for two years before marrying her husband, Creig Lingle, and accompanying him on a career in the U.S. Army. During that time she tirelessly served the military community in various officers’ wives’ clubs as a Red Cross volunteer and as a volunteer for activities supporting junior enlisted families.

Lois and her husband retired and moved to the Flathead Valley where they have enjoyed hunting, fishing and the great outdoors, which she loved so much for the past 15 years. Lois was a devoted, loving wife and if you knew her, you loved her. Her infectious smile would light up a room and at the same time could melt your heart. She was full of life and could see humor in almost any situation. She dearly loved to make people laugh with her cute little jokes.

She was preceded in death by her father, mother and one sister.

She is survived by her husband, Creig Lingle of Kalispell; three sisters, Barbara Frankfurth of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Edna Bieber of Douglas, Wyoming, and Linda Walker of Kansas City, Missouri; and one brother, Eugene Frankfurth of Bowdle, South Dakota.
