Lois Jean Sullivan, 80, passed away due to natural causes on May 16, 2013, at her daughter's home in Kalispell.
Lois was born Lois Jean McDaniel on Jan. 18, 1933, in Charlotte, Mich., and was raised in Grand Rapids, Mich., where she graduated from Central High School.
She married her husband of 49 years, Gerald Jerry Sullivan, in July 1953 in Grand Rapids.
She was a committed volunteer with her sorority Epsilon Sigma Alpha, Easter Seals, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Relay for Life and Spay and Neuter Task Force.
Her hobbies included crafting, volunteering, rummage sales, making pepper jelly and collecting dolls, pitchers and unusual things. She had a deep love for cats, but especially her Sophie and Sasha.
She is preceded in death by husband Gerald Jerry Sullivan; brothers, Ted and Frank McDaniel; sister Shirley Fuller; son Richard Sullivan; daughter Cristi Hand; grandson Craig Sullivan; and parents Franklin and Rosella Parrish McDaniel.
Lois is survived by daughter Debbie (Les) Ingram; son Jeff Sullivan; grandchildren Kylee and Kirk Archibald, Lori and Jeremy Todd, Brian Sullivan, Bailee Ingram, Taylor Ingram and Jeremy Sullivan; great-grandchildren Reiley, Amanda and Cody Todd and Payton and Maddie Archibald; other relatives Dawn Noble, Cheryle Sullivan, Cathy and Clay Buckingham, Jane Sullivan, Mike, Natalie and Trent Sullivan, Patty Anderson, Laura, Will and Carolyn Anderson, Kathy, Jim and Josh Kemph and Bill Sullivan.
Friends and family are gathering for a remembrance of her life at 504 Peaceful Drive in Bigfork after the service.
Services will be 11 a.m. today at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home and Crematory in Kalispell.
