Margie Miller

Margie “Marge” Luella (Blair) Miller, 91, passed away on Oct. 21, 2014, in Kalispell.

Marge was born to Carl and Olga (Olsen) Blair on May 1, 1923, in Spokane. She attended school in Spokane and graduated from Rogers High School in 1941.

Marge married Donald A. Miller on Dec. 5, 1941. In 1955, Don, Marge and family moved from Spokane to Columbia Falls, and there they raised their three sons, Mike, Danny and Randy. In 1973, Marge and Don moved to Woods Bay on Flathead Lake and enjoyed 28 great years of lake living with family and friends. During the winter months they would go south, usually to Tucson, Ariz. In 2001, they moved  into Kalispell. Marge moved to Buffalo Hill Terrace in April 2013 and resided there until her passing.

Mom loved animals and was one of the founding members of the Northwest Montana Humane Society. She enjoyed working in her flowerbeds, feeding the birds, picnics in Glacier Park and rides along the back roads of Flathead Valley.

Marge was an active member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Columbia Falls and Bethany Lutheran Church in Bigfork. Mom enjoyed going to church on Sundays and socializing with friends.

Marge was preceded in death in 2007 by her husband and friend of 65 years, Don.

Marge is survived by her sons, Mike and Sara, Dan, and Randy and Julie; her grandsons, Jeff, David, Jason and Rhonda, Douglas and Chris, and Wyatt; and her great-grandchildren, Kendall, Abby, Dylan, Emma and Vincent.

Mom will be greatly missed. She was a very caring, loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Northwest Montana Humane Society, 100 Adopt A Pet Way, Kalispell, MT 59901;  or to the organization of your choice.

A visitation for Marge will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 24, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 25, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home. A reception will follow at the Elks Lodge in Kalispell.
