Marie Williams

April 6, 1925 — January 8, 2018

Marie Grace (Ferraro) Williams, left us on   January 8, 2018 after a 1 year battle with pancreatic cancer.

Marie’s parents were Frank & Josephine (Maffeo) Ferraro.   She was born 04-06-1925 and was the middle child of 3 sisters, Marion (Ferraro) Griesman & Elizabeth/Betty (Ferraro) Stute in Los Angeles, CA.

Marie met her husband, Charles Williams on a double date with her sister Betty who was on a date with Chuck’s brother Fred.  Chuck and Marie were married in August 1943 and lived in Los Angeles CA area.

They had 3 children:

Ronald (Mission Viejo, CA deceased 07-2017),

Rodney (Long Beach, CA),

Judy (Kalispell MT).

Marie is blessed with grandchildren and great-grandchildren (In CA & AZ), as well many nephews, nieces, cousins and long time friends scattered around the country.

Chuck & Marie moved to Lynwood, CA to raise their family and Marie went to work for Sears in Compton, CA doing catalog sales & customer service.

After Chuck retired, they moved to Sebastopol, in Northern California.  Marie continued to work at Sears in Sales/Service until her retirement.   In 2005, Chuck & Marie moved to Kalispell MT .  Chuck passed away in 2009 of cancer.

Marie was active in her children’s lives as a den mother for both Cub Scouts & Brownie/Girl Scouts.  She loved to garden and sew.    She also crocheted, knitted & tried many other crafts.  Her daughter remembers her making matching outfits for her and her Patty Play Pal doll as well as clothes for her Barbie doll.

Marie’s  family & friends frequently praise her for being a sweet and caring person, always there to support others.  She always remembered every one’s birthdays and anniversaries.  She was known for her beautiful smile.

A special thank you to all the Hospice team who were there for this difficult journey (especially Jessica & Kimberly).   And to the caregivers from Home Options who helped make her final months easier.  And to Brendan House for their TLC the last weeks of her life.  And to Mike from St Matthews Church for his frequent visits.
