Mary Ruth Mumby was born on April 3, 1925, in Fairfield, Iowa, to Victor and Hazel Leech. She was the youngest of five and the only girl.
Mary Mumby taught school in California and Colorado before retiring and moving to Montana in 1982.
She is survived by her three sons, eight grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m. at the Shining Mountains Science Church in Kalispell.
