Mercy Peterson

August 26, 1994 — June 7, 2013

Mercy was born on Aug. 26, 1994, at 7:15 a.m. in Daytona Beach, Fla., was raised in the Flathead Valley, and died in a car accident on Friday, June 7, 2013, at 10:15 a.m. in Kalispell.

He attended Glacier Gateway, Columbia Falls Junior High, Columbia Falls High, Glacier High and Flathead High schools, and was a current student at Columbia Falls High School Learning Center. He was working hard to finish school and earn his diploma.

He had a special love for music and many interests and passions that kept him busy. He enjoyed listening to music; playing guitar; creating art; enjoying nature; taking time to love his friends and family; befriending people and animals; being physically active in sports; riding longboards, skateboards, snowboards, wakeboards and bikes; making people laugh and smile; and having a smile on his face.

He was, and will always be, remembered as a truly unique person who was skilled in all of his interests.

Mercy has warmed many hearts in his life. He was a good person who was doing his best.

There are a vast number of people who miss Mercy tremendously. His death has left many loving friends and family members heavy-hearted. Although he is gone, he will not be forgotten; he will forever live on in our hearts and memories.

A service for Mercy will be held at 4 p.m. June 21. The service will take place at the Columbia Mountain Cabins, located at 980 Jensen Road in Columbia Falls.

Mercy was preceded in death by his dad, Michael Jason Peterson, 34, on Jan. 28, 2007; and his mom, Shannon Marie Armstrong, 37, on Aug. 15, 2009.

Mercy is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Leisa and Wesley Jackson; half-sister, Juliet Peterson; grandma, Carol Peterson; grandpa, Pete McIntyre; stepfather, Joshua Armstrong; step-grandmother, Patricia Sincavage; many aunts, uncles, and cousins in the Armstrong and Peterson families; and even more friends who are considered family.
