Michael Richard Dugan, 55, of Kila passed away on July 19, 2014, from cancer.
Michael was born in Fort Bragg, Calif., on Nov. 25, 1958, to Richard and Barbara Dugan. He spent his formative years on his grandfather's ranch in California.
After residing in Libby for four years and running successful businesses, he moved with his family to Kila in 1993. As a resident of the Flathead, Michael worked on many construction projects here in the valley, including both Whitefish and Kalispell downtown remodels. He was an avid fan of hunting, science fiction and music, and he also liked to fish. He loved to read and was an author himself.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Pat Dugan of Kalispell.
Michael is survived by his sons, Jason Dugan of Kila, and Kyle Herrera of Kalispell; sisters, Colleen Britos of Nevada, and Barbie Matthews of California; brothers, Steve Dugan of Oregon, and Jimmy Dugan and Donald Dugan, both of California; and grandchildren, Zoe Dugan, Triston Dugan and Colton Dugan, all of Kila.
Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, at the Family Life Church in Kalispell.
