Michael B. Gillen, age 64, passed away April 1, 2010 at Kalispell Regional Medical Center in Kalispell. Michael was born in Portland, Oregon on April 23, 1944. He was raised in the Portland area, graduating in 1962 from Clackamas High School in Milwaukie, Oregon. He then enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1962 and was honorably discharged as an Airman First Class in 1966. He had been stationed at Mather Air Force Base in Sacramento, California. Michael worked as a sales representative for a national bearing house. He also owned his own fencing business and worked for Inline Painting also. Michael enjoyed water skiing, and loved working with his hands. He could fix or build anything anyone asked him to do. Comments from friends, "We will miss you buddy" from your painting working crew, Matt Stickney, Brad McManus, and Bo Chichester. Michael was preceded in death by his parents Harold and Maxine Williams. He is survived by his partner Bonnie Clothier, sons Stan and Justin Gillen and daughter Tina Gillen; brother Rockne Gillen of Oklahoma City, OK; and sister Pamela and husband Thomas Hopkins of Mesquite, NV.
