Mildred D. Winkler, 88, passed away on Sept. 25, 2017, in Kalispell.
She was born on Oct. 31, 1928, in Forsyth to George and Josephine (Moser) Zempel.
She was a dental assistant in her younger years and a mother of seven children.
She is survived by her children, Cheryl Winkler, Michael Winkler, Cynde Bohannan, Lynda Altenburg, Duane Winkler and Judy Tintzman; 16 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Guy Winkler, and son Milo Winkler.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. today, Sept. 27, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home with a rosary at 6:30 p.m. A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday Sept. 28, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Whitefish. Burial will follow at Glacier Memorial Gardens.
