Muriel Joan Williams died peacefully at Kalispell Regional Medical Center, on November 22, 2014.She was 78 years of age. Muriel was born on February 29, 1936 in, ND to Charles and Mabel Hall.
Muriel is survived by her daughter Colleen and husband Shawn Hicks of Federal Way, WA, sister Patricia (Hall) Homola and her husband Paul of Pahrump, NV, brother Mike Hall and wife Yuzhen Yang-Hall of Fife, WA, brother Kevin Hall of Bellevue, WA, two grandchildren Dr. Aaron Hicks and Dr. Bryson Hicks and numerous extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband Don S. Williams and father and mother.
Muriel was raised in North Dakota where she graduated from high school in 1954 and began training at St. Andrews School of Nursing in 1955. Muriel married Don S. Williams on September 27, 1969 in Tacoma, and worked for Swanson’s Supermarket in Aberdeen and Hoquiam, WA. After moving to Polson, Montana in 1973 she began a career with Super 1 grocery store retiring in 2004
A memorial service will be held in the summer for Muriel at the Polson Senior Center. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to the Polson Senior Center.
Muriel enjoyed local talent and supported her local community activities and was a member of Mission Valley Friends of the Arts. She loved sewing hand crafts, fishing and R.V. travels.
Muriel will be missed greatly by her family and friends.
